Many men and women in America use them to boost their own natural hues and to up the wow factor on their look. While cosmetic contacts can also be corrective, they are most commonly used in the USA for their looks.

There have been rumors in the USA that cosmetic contacts cause eye damage. While people initially report blurring or mild vision obstruction with cosmetic lenses, when worn over time the uncomfortably subsides and the Food and Drug Administration has ruled that there is no long-term damage caused by cosmetic lenses.

One of the best trends in cosmetic eyewear is the cat eye lens, a yellow lens with a black eye in the center similar to a cat’s. The look is popular around Halloween, but is also a sexy way to up any party outfit or to look fetching on a rave night out. One of the second most popular looks is purple contact lenses on dark skinned women, which has a shockingly bright appearance that is beyond beautiful.

Green is the most common contact lens color, with thousands of people buying green lenses a day. Psychologists report that green is not only the most sexually appealing color, but the least common on the planet. More men report a fetish for green eyed women than any other eye color. Meanwhile, connotations with the color green run deep in men’s psyche and has an almost aphrodisiac effect on men.
