Women around the world are always looking for ways to make their eyes stand out as much as possible. Here are three tips on how to match your eye makeup to your designer eyewear by designers like Dior, Prada and Versace.

Tip one – Always do the opposite. Despite what logic implies, going the opposite color and texture of your eyewear is a great way to make your eyes stand out and look bolder and bigger than before. For example, with black, thick frames you should highlight your eyelid in silver or white eye shadow and play up the lashes in a blue or purple tint. With lighter eyewear, you should do the inverse with dark eye shadow and dark lashes.

Tip two – don’t obstruct your natural beauty. Many women follow fashion trends despite the fact that not all of them are going to apply to their face or body shape. If you have oblong eyes, you need oblong glasses. Work with what you have, shape and size wise, and complement your natural curves.

Tip three – Frame your eyes. Many women spend immense amounts of time on the eye and completely neglect the eyebrow. Think about the natural curve and shape of your eye and patiently groom your eyebrow to follow and thus enhance your natural curves. Many women cut the eyebrow short, remember they should go past the outer limits of your eye! With your glasses, ensure your eyebrows are not hidden by your frames, which can result in a vampire or adolescent look.

We haven’t made fun of Hollywood’s young female, Wayfarer-wearing, teen starlets in quite some time, which makes this analysis of their fashion sense long overdue. Who isn’t sick of the redundancy of Hollywood’s youthful females, who feel they have the world in the palm of their hand and who think they are creating new fashion concepts every time they wear a T-shirt and jeans?

While we love Ray Ban Wayfarers, we are sick to our stomach of young starlets wearing the Wayfarer in bold colors in an attempt to define themselves as serious fashion contenders among their more developed female peers. In our opinion the Wayfarer looks best on men (the Blues Brothers, for example) and the look on young stars is overbearing, contrived and most of all – overdone! Last week Ashlee Simpson was caught in Super Wayfarers in black with white zebra stripes. Enough is enough already. If we have to see Lindsey Lohan, Miley Cyrus or either of the Olsen twins in Wayfarers again, we might be sick.

Several former teens have moved on to a more sophisticated look, which we highly advise for those remaining starlets who think the Wayfarer look applies to them. Olive Peoples are a great way to update a youthful look and appear at once more sophisticated and put together. Stars like Kate Hudson, Jennifer Garner and Mariah Carey have upgraded to the Olive Peoples fashion world, and for the better.

Adam Lambert took the runner-up position in last season’s American Idol finals. His sense of old-world, Ray-Ban rocker style combined with Broadway theatrics and Kiss-like clothing made Adam one of the most exciting contestants ever to grace the show.

Adam’s sense of style can only be defined as unique in the music industry. He recently appeared in an all black suit with charcoal highlights and Mykita sunglasses (similar to Dior’s Aviators for men) in plated gold. While the look fell short of stunning, it gave him the Elvis-like edge that so defines his look.

These Mykita sunglasses fit Adam’s face and look, but we don’t really recommend these to anyone else. Instead, try to find your own unique look by thinking about what it is you have to offer than is different from the norm. Adam offered showmanship, theatrics, rock & roll and a voice that doesn’t stop. His competitor, Chris Allen, offered a generic boy-next-door wholesomeness that sells to middle America.

What is it that makes you special? If you are into a specific sport or type of music, focus your wardrobe around that. For example, any oldies fan knows that while the poodle skirt is cool, it probably wont fly to wear it to church every Sunday. Instead, think subtle and get poka-dots, stripes or bolder colors with frillier shapes. If you are into sports, don’t run around in jerseys every day of the week, instead, think smaller and get styles that a coach would wear, like polo shirts, pull-over jackets and lots of denim. Everyone can have a look specific to them that amplifies their interests.

us1214.JPGDesigner eyewear – One of the best ways to make your look more youthful is to don a pair of fashionable and youthful eyeglasses. Designers, Hollywood stars and singers all stay youthful with their eyewear, just look at Madonna!

Show some skin – With age, comes the feeling of becoming more conservative. Instead of giving in to this trend, be proud of your body and show a bit of skin. Shorter skirts and more revealing tops can be classy and yet reveal enough to give you a younger, edgier look.

Wear colorful jewelry – Youthful trends to watch include larger jewelry made from non-metal sources like wood, coral, plastics and rope. While these are also cheaper than gold and silver jewelry, they give a vibe that is adventurous, youthful and creative rather than cheap.

Lose the heels – Today’s youth are not interested in high heels, they hurt the back and feet and they make free movement difficult. Instead, sexy and feminine slippers are in style, which allow more mobility, feel more comfortable and look incredibly youthful and sexy.

Shorter hair – Shorter hair gives the impression of youth on nearly every facial type. Hair slightly shorter than shoulder length just has a youthful bounce and wave. You’ll find that cutting your hair to this length, and especially adding bangs, will make you look several years younger than with longer hair (or with shorter, skull-cropped hair).

The silver screen is the latest way in which designers are launching their latest and greatest designs. While Ray Ban has been advertising through cinema for generations, high fashion houses like Prada, Gucci and Carerra are only recently cashing in on what Hollywood has to offer.

Just look at the latest James Bond, Quantum of Solace, which showed our hero in classic Tom Ford sunglasses while the villain evil general was wearing flashy Careera frames that did not fit his personality or position. Sunglasses in cinema are a way to signify the bad and the good in characters, and to spice up otherwise generic and overdone costumes. How many evil third-world general costumes can there possibly be!

For even more on sunglasses on the silver screen, check out Chasing Sarah Marshall, Hollywood’s latest breakup comedy chick-flick. Sarah Marshall, whom we find out is a horrible character, begins to wear flashier, larger and uglier sunglasses the more her evil character is revealed. She started off in jeans and a white T-shirt looking innocent and cute, only to be turned into a short-skirt wearing floozie in oversized Jackie O’s by the end of the film. The flashy and unfitting sunglasses help to give her the image of an unattractive soul.

Historically, sunglasses have always signified something in film. Look at the Blues Brothers, who made the Wayfarer cool for yet another generation. What about Tom Cruise in Ray Bans in Risky Business, when he skids across the hard wood floor in a dress shirt, sunglasses and little else? Fight Club portrays the split personality of the main character, the insane part of him portrayed in thick, flashy custom sunglasses that make him look like a heroin-injected robot.
